Intensive Clinical Services
Our Intensive Clinical Services (ICS) Department focuses on clients of all ages with increased needs or supports in various environments. Our ICS team includes two Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with extended expertise in their fields related to severe physical aggression or self-injurious behavior, co-existent mental health and other dual diagnoses, sexualized behaviors, substance abuse, and other high or at-risk behaviors. We use a trauma-informed care approach focusing on the ACT therapy model along with other evidence-based treatments, including Applied Behavior Analysis, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and anger management interventions.
In addition to direct treatment, our ICS Department provides consultation services to support teams through transitions and periods of increased maladaptive behaviors when major life events or other changes may trigger severe behaviors. We conduct individualized assessments to determine service needs or identify risk in the community, and we develop training and tools to teach team members how to best support a client and their needs.
